My Strains
Most of my strains breed true unless otherwise indicated

These are Guppies that I have produced by crossing already established strains and selectively breeding them. Some strains are still a work in progress and are not offered .....Yet.
These strains have not been seen or offered anywhere else.
So I believe that I'm the only one who has created these strains
I only raise and offer to sell/or trade strains that are exceptionally unique
I use a strict "Culling" process that ensures that I only offer top of the line strains

Bronze Double Sword Tux (Poecilia Reticulata X Poecilia Wingei)Strain created by Nycguppydude. This strains most noticeable traits are its Black Bar running from directly behind the eye. The Half Black “Tux” body with a Red spot. "Tux" body is seen as a Beautiful Iridescent Green under flash photography. Their Extended Double Sword tail which can be either Red with White accents or White with Red accents and a Blue,Black, or Green Peacock spot as well. This strain breeds true 80% of the time. This strain was derived from a cross between the offspring of offspring of Bronze Bumble Bee class K Endler males (Strain developed by AdrianHD from swampriveraquatics.com) and 1 Red-Tail Blonde, 1 Half Black Blue, and a couple of my Wild Caught Costa Rican Guppy females. The fry from the first drop from each female were separated and sexed and I bred back all the daughters from all drops back to the BBB males. I have done this to the point where I created this phenotype that I liked and now hope you do too. This strain breeds True 80%+. Contact Me For Availability

Most of my fish Grow-Out in heavily planted, unfiltered Green Water. They are then raised in Separate,Clean, and filtered same sex aquariums until they are shipped. At this point they are fed 3-5 times daily.
Feedings consist of a combination of any of the following:

Tetra Color Enhancing Flakes   Tetra Algae(Vegetable Enhanced Flakes)

Freeze dried bloodworms         Freeze dried tubifex worms

Freeze dried brine shrimp

As well as live: tubifex worms, bloodworms, blackworms, brine shrimp and an always present colony of Microworms which are always found in most well established aquariums. I have also started to feed them HBH Natural Veggie Flake Basic*
from birth up until they are sub-adults. They are given additional feedings 1-3 times daily to supplement any deficiency.
*Formerly called Basic Growth a completely well balanced vegetarian flake food from http://www.kensfish.com/hbhflake.html  Which all my fish love.
